It is hard to think of the reason why I have been smiling this week. It is kind of ridiculous try to think on that, and is ever more ridiculous to write something about that…and when I was thinking in how ridiculous this was, I realised that everything in this place is ridiculous…in a world where everybody is trying to be connected to WiFi, sleeping in comfortable beds, and using their phones most of the time, we hike up in the mountains, or we sleep in tents or teepees where the only star rating are the stars is the sky, just to spend time with people and enjoy the view.
It is ridiculous the way that we sit around a campfire to share ridiculous songs in a: human-made language without meaning to try to connect to all the people from different parts of the word in one language that’s not English.
It is ridiculous using funny hats to work, or wearing sunglasses when you are inside, it is ridiculous to make a water fight in a kitchen when you just finished cleaning that kitchen and is more ridiculous to think that a German, an English and an Argentinian can live together…with more than 30 people from 28 different countries…
I think that what makes me smile are all those ridiculous things, all these crazy things that people cannot even think about doing in their serious jobs, and here those things are what we are encouraged to do every day … and this is my job!
Dancing, singing, saying random words in a language that you don’t know, learning how is common to dance In Brazil or in Denmark, finding that South Africa and Argentina are pretty similar, or tasting typical food of Portugal are some of the things that makes our job in here very interesting and makes ours days pretty abnormal…
All these ridiculous things make me really happy…and smily of course!
I really want to live this ridiculous dream, in this ridiculous way!
